Working in the Industry

Join Ontario's Thriving Forest Industry and Bioeconomy

There are currently over 650 job vacancies across all aspects of the OFIA’s members operations. From labourers, truck drivers, heavy equipment operators, drone pilots, electricians, millwrights, engineers, biologists, foresters, and chemists - the labour need is as diverse as the industry itself. Lead by our Human Resources Committee, the OFIA is making connections with trainers, educators, insurers, and regulators across the province to address the increasing workforce gap in the sector.

Ontario’s forest industry welcomes everyone, and the OFIA is committed to meaningful inclusion of women, Indigenous Peoples, new Canadians, 2SLGBTQI+, and people living with disabilities.

If you are interested in joining Ontario’s advanced forest sector, we encourage you to reach out to us directly through, speak with our members, or discover opportunities in the forest sector through the following links.
